We’re all about creativity here at The Produce Moms. So when our partners at Naturipe asked us to come up with a new way to use their juicy, delicious berries in a recipe, we thought outside the box! Here’s a fresh and fruity take on sushi night that will please even your seafood-averse kids. Which of these four Berry Pinwheels will be your favorite?

How to Make Berry Pinwheels

Sushi is a fun and flavorful finger food, and we tried to preserve that magic with these Berry Pinwheels. Each is a unique and creative pairing of sustainably-grown Naturipe berries and rich, tasty spreads. Make these simple snacks with your kids for a fun activity that they’ll love to eat!

Each of these four Berry Pinwheels uses a different berry. You’ll find raspberries acting as the jelly in our PB&J pinwheel while strawberries and brie settle nicely into fig jam in another classy recipe. Blueberry and guacamole make an unlikely yet irresistible pair, just like our unique combo of blackberries, turkey, and spinach.

All the flavor of berries with all the fun of sushi!

The secret to our Berry Pinwheels is the spread! Each recipe includes a spread that’s sticky enough to hold the pinwheel together after you slice it up. First apply the spread to a flour tortilla, then add your other delicious ingredients. Now you’re ready to roll! Roll the tortilla tightly and slice it into 1.5” to 2” pinwheels.

Once they’ve been rolled and sliced, these pinwheels are ready to serve – no baking required! We recommend arranging them tightly on a plate or tray to help them maintain their fun spiral shapes. You can also skewer them with toothpicks to make them easy to hold and eat.
